Excerpt: ... the Pope says that jihad violence is against God's nature, and officials fear that in response, Muslims enraged by this insult will commit ... jihad violence. ... Go figure!

The use of violence to respond to critics is a mark of an intellectually bankrupt religion and worldview, completely lacking spirituality. Muslims again respond with violence when criticized for being violent.

Quote: "...noted French Islamist R. Arnaldez, who points out that Ibn Hazn went so far as to state that God is not bound even by his own word, and that nothing would oblige him to reveal the truth to us. Were it God's will, we would even have to practice idolatry."

Perhaps R. Arnaldez's "apologia," was trying to rationalize those so called "Satanic Verses" in the Koran (personally, I can think of many other far more "satanic" ones, such as the "war Verses"!), which so inspired Salman Rushdie, where Mohammed himself betrays that most basic tenet of Islam of: "God is one, there is no other God than God," when captured by his enemies, he told his followers that adoring a couple of local deities along with Allah was acceptable, in order to save his worthless hide!!!

But of course, as Richard has so aptly pointed out, Islamists only follow their "circular logic," chasing their own tail just like the dogs they are! If their brains were made of microships like computers you could truly say that they've crashed!

Were it that they would teach "Philosophy" and "Logic" in Madrasas, instead of making children memorize verses by rote that in many instances they do not even understand, indoctrinating them in poisonous, unreasoning, hatred and unwarranted, abhorrent, violence! The world would be such a different, and much better place then!

As much as Muslims may clinch their teeth in rage, the comments by Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus, that: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." rings as true today as it did then, and is self-evident, as borne by all the tide of inhuman carnage, needless violence, bloodshed, murder, and death, that Islamists have unleashed upon the world that we have and are witnessing every day all throughout the world! All Islam has done throughout history, is enslave and oppress all the Dhiminni who have had the misfortune of falling under their "Submission" yoke!!!

And if the Byzantinian Emperor, and those of us who share his conclusions, are wrong, then show me even but one "beneficial" thing, all throughout history, the world has to be grateful to Islam for!!!

What has the world to be grateful to Islam for, other than oppression, obscurantism, violence, and death?!?!
