How stupid can this women become? Didn't she just join Hugo Chavez at his socialist summit? I think she needs some time in order to be indoctrinated into sacred and the profane.

She deserved to be hauled out. The news said she wasn't actually arrested, just removed, but am reading differently online. ?? I feel sorry for her. I even agree with some of the points she makes, although not all.
If she cannot carry her message with dignity and within the context of proper social conduct, then she will, and probably already has, lost her effectiveness for her causes and, in fact, may hurt them.
I don't agree with many of President Bushes' policies. But he is my president and I respect him because of that. I wouldn't want to swap spots with him either. It's a difficult place to be in, to have the whole world looking at everything you do and say, watching and nit picking everything and spotting every screw-up and pretzel choke, and bravely going forward with confidence and determination.
Nope, can't say I agree with his policies much at all - the big picture part matches most of the time, it is the strategies for implementation where we part. And I have been alarmed to watch our out of control spending and lack of fiscal policy discipline during his administration. We would not agree on how to spend the budget either. That's why most marriages break up too - $$$ different opinions about what is important, where to spend the money, how to get things done.
Back to Cindy and tonight - This was self centered of her - or maybe she is just plain whacked out by now and her sense of appropriateness is no longer accurate. The State of the Union Speech is a dignified occasion and it is his time, as our president, to talk to all Americans. The occasion calls for proper respect for the event, and respect for him as our president. If someone isn't able to muster this, then they don't need to be there. Just like if you don't like a big music group, then don't go when they have a big performance and try to mess it up for people who want to hear them. If she chose to take the invitation to go into the gallery to join others who wanted to be there to hear it, she should have behaved in a manner appropriate to the situation. Few get an invite and she squandered hers. Whacked!

Updated form the AP wire: 8:18 p.m. ET Feb. 1, 2006
WASHINGTON - Capitol Police dropped a charge of unlawful conduct against antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan on Wednesday and apologized for ejecting her and a congressman’s wife from President Bush’s State of the Union address for wearing T-shirts with war messages.
“The officers made a good faith, but mistaken effort to enforce an old unwritten interpretation of the prohibitions about demonstrating in the Capitol,” Capitol Police Chief Terrance Gainer said in a statement late Wednesday.
“The policy and procedures were too vague,” he added. “The failure to adequately prepare the officers is mine.”
Can we have that broken law again, please? You are as full of SH*T as BushCo is. Do you make it up as you go along?

| It is very clear now that Cindy Sheehan broke no laws and was unjustly removed. Please exercise your great conservative morals and admit that you were wrong and apologize.

| Yes, indeed, Republicans are evil and like her marxist human rights violating buddy, Hugo Chavez, Sheehan is simply a misunderstood author of disruption. We were wrong. We admit it and stand corrected. Sheehan violated the dignity of the Presidential event, but is only guilty of irreverence, stupidity and media whoring.

Did the congressman's wife also violate the dignity of a Presidential event? Is she guilty of irreverence, stupidity and media whoring?
You got one thing right tonight, Republicans ARE evil. And corrupt. . And dishonest. . . Proof? Nixon, Regan, Bush 1 & Bush 2.
4 out of 5 republican administrations up to their asses in crooked deals and lawbreaking.
What about Clinton, you say? A 7 year investigation found NOTHING. So, republicans manufacture a jumped up impeachment effort for lying about a blow-job.
Sorry, he didn't allow 3,000+ to die at the hands of terrorists, didn't kill 2,200 plus troops in bogus war, didn't lie to start the bogus war, didn't balloon the debt and didn't destroy American credibility worldwide. Sounds like you're backing another loser, LOSER.

| Your argument weakens when you consider the impeachment of Clinton for committing perjury and the fact that he let Osama go... Most mortals would have been bounced for his Oval office escapades with a young impressionable intern but I guess he's the Teflon man. Meanwhile, your Hugo Chavez loving spokeswomen, Sheehan, appeared with one of Saddam Hussein's lawyers at a Bush Impeachment event. Well done ....

You didn't answer the question.

Did you forget? He was impeached. And a republican controlled Senate found him not guilty. Why is it that the same republican controlled Congress has failed to even look at BushCo's multitude of sins? Are they hypocrites? Self serving political whores? Right wing hate mongers? I vote yes to all the above.
Sheehan, appeared with one of Saddam Hussein's lawyers at a Bush Impeachment event. Well done ....
What bothers you about that? The fact the Saddam HAS lawyers? Does it matter? Is there any doubt the kangaroo court will convict? And what in hell is a Bush impeachment event? Are they doing fundraisers to impeach him? Put me down for the noose to hang him with.
