White House Takes Cluelessness To New Level: Boko Haram Is Not A Jihad ... It's A 'Symbolic Obstacle to Girls' Educational Progress'

Topics: Political News and commentaries, Understanding Islam

According to our totally clueless president claims the Boko Haram Islamic terrorists are an 'education policy issue' ... and not yet another (of many) examples of murderous Islamic jihadists.

Geeez, for real?

The Obama regime has indeed taken over-the-top cluelessness and turned it into an art form.

Via The Daily Caller:

White House officials are openly trying to portray the Boko Haram jihad movement as a symbolic obstacle to girls' educational progress, not as another murderous example of militant Islam that could be fought by U.S. forces.

The straight-faced effort to change the subject from jihad to education policy is a reach even for the White House's media team, partly because the jihadi group has a decade-long history of bombing Christian churches and schools, and killing thousands of Africans.

On May 12, for example, the group paraded more than 100 kidnapped girls who have converted to Islam to escape rape.

The first lady and President Barack Obama are "deeply concerned ... about the fate of these girls and broadly concerned about what these girls represent in terms of the power and importance of making sure that girls around the world are educated," White House spokesman Jay Carney said May. 12.

The roughly 276 girls "are suffering specifically and individually, but they are also suffering on behalf of a broader proposition, which is that whether you're a girl or a boy, you should have all the rights to education that can be attained in the country in which you live," he said.

"And I think that's a principle that obviously the president and first lady support, and it's a principle that most Americans, I think -- I would daresay all Americans support," he said.

The Daily Caller goes on to aptly point out that despite the White House's (ridiculously clueless) claim, the parents in Nigeria aren't complaining about a dip in their girls' grade point averages, a disruption to their class schedules, or a loss in study time since the mid-April kidnapping. They're concerned about the safety of their girls in the hands of murderous Islamic jihadists and are worried that they may never see their girls again.

Perhaps the Obama administration would do well to check out the recent BBC article that points out that "Nigeria's militant Islamist group Boko Haram -- which has caused havoc in Africa's most populous country through a wave of bombings, assassinations and now abductions - is fighting to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state. By doing so they might be less prone to think that they can lie to the American people and provide cover for Islamic terrorists.

As the BBC piece details, Boko Haram's followers are said to be influenced by the Koranic phrase which says: "Anyone who is not governed by what Allah has revealed is among the transgressors". Boko Haram promotes a version of Islam which makes it "haram" or forbidden, for Muslims to take part in any political or social activity associated with Western society. This includes voting in elections, wearing shirts and trousers or receiving a secular education. Truth be known, 'Boko Haram' actually translates to, "everything is haram."

As Nicolai Sennels explained in her "Jihad Watch" piece in October of 2013 titled Psychology: Why Islam creates monsters, "while all other religions allow their followers to interpret their holy scriptures, Islam categorizes Muslims who do not take the Quran literally as apostates. And according to Islamic law, the sharia, apostasy is to be punished with death. The sharia thus makes it impossible for Islamic societies ever to develop into modern, humanistic civilizations."

And we're to believe that the Obama administration actually believes the Boko Haram Islamic terrorists are an 'education policy issue'? Puhleeze ... give us a break. If in fact he actually believes this ... or instead of simply making stuff up and bold-faced lying to the American people (as usual), Obama could just simply check with his CIA on what's really going on in Nigeria.
