ABC's Jon Karl Grills Jay Carney For Over 8 Minutes About White House's 'Re-Writing History' On Benghazi Talking Points (Video)

Topics: Political News and commentaries

ABC's Jon Karl grilled White House spokesman Jay Carney for over eight minutes for rewriting the Benghazi talking points. Carney had the chutzpah to claim the email in question 'was not about Benghazi.'

Then there's this via The Washington Free Beacon: Jay Carney is not credible - Judicial Watch: Carney is Wrong, We Sued for Benghazi Talking Points:

Judicial Watch's President Tom Fitton hit back at Jay Carney over false statements made by the White House press secretary during his heated exchange with ABC's Jon Karl regarding newly released emails about Benghazi. The emails were only released by the White House after Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit against them.

[...] Fitton fired back at Carney's blatant attempt to cover the Benghazi scandal up by lying about the emails, "We [Judicial Watch] didn't ask for documents about protests everywhere in the world. We asked for Benghazi talking points, we got this document from the administration, from the State Dept. in response to a specific request about Benghazi documents."

He continued, "This email has serious implications and the White House is flailing. There are serious implications to misleading Congress, lying to Congress, obstructing Congress..."

Carney's claim that the talking points were not about Benghazi are downright laughable, so much so that even ABC's Karl is almost slack-jawed over Carney's claims. Carney makes Baghdad Bob look like a realist.

One has to almost (I repeat 'almost') feel sorry for Carney ... his attempts to cover up the obvious cover up are embarrassing. Remember that the Benghazi massacre happened just before the 2012 elections and the mainstream media ... ABC among them ... essentially ignored it as though the administration had done no wrong and was being truthful. They treated Fox News' coverage of the obvious cover up as though Fox was perpetuating a conspiracy theory, and only now are they finally doing some actual reporting. So it's about time ... but we still have to see how far they'll go to nail down the truth ... and 'report' it.
