White House Still Has No Clue As To How Many People Have Actually Paid Their Obamacare PremiumsTopics: Political News and commentaries
Carney claims 5 million have enrolled in Obamacare, yet when pressed on how many have paid he says that major insurers have placed the figure at 80 percent, "give or take, depending on the insurer,"
The consulting firm McKinsey & Company estimates only 77 percent will follow through and purchase their coverage. That number would bring that the WH's 5 million down to 3.85-4 million instead. Big-time Obama donor Goldman Sachs estimates that 80 percent will follow through. However, if the average documented online shopping cart abandonment rate of 67.86% is any useful indicator of Obamacare sign-up follow through ... the O'Care enrollment number could end up being a hell of a lot lower than either McKinsey or Goldman predicts..
As Steve Hayes of the Weekly Standard has aptly pointed out, President Obama’s optimistic new estimate of 5 million Obamacare enrollees, calling the number "virtually meaningless" without information on how many people have actually paid for -- not just selected -- a healthcare plan.
And a recent McKinsey report shows that only 14% Of Obamacare Exchange Sign-Ups are previously uninsured enrollees. Of the 3.3 million people that the White House has touted as Obamacare exchange "sign-ups," less than 500,000 are actual uninsured people who have actually gained health coverage.
