HHS Secretary Seblius on Selectively Following Obamacare Law:"We've Made 'Changes In The Way The Law Was Written'"Topics: Political News and commentaries
In other words, the Obama administration has been selectively following the portions of the law that they believe are politically safe, and those that hurt them politically they simply ignore ... or lawlessly change on their own usurping both executive powers and legislative authority.
What's so jaw-dropping about this is that she (and her boss) clearly find nothing wrong with what their doing. On the other hand, is it a case that they simply don't care?
This is exactly the kind of lawless presidential behavior that liberal George Washington University constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley warned about when he said:
"We are in the midst of a constitutional crisis with sweeping implications for our system of government," and that "there has been a massive gravitational shift of authority to the Executive Branch that threatens the stability and functionality of our tripartite system." He went on to note that although that shift did not begin under Obama, "it has accelerated under this administration."
