Obama is his own best/worst critic

Topics: Political News and commentaries

As Charles Hurt points out at Breitbart, in the seven years since President Obama voted as a U.S. Senator to NOT raise the debt ceiling any further, he and his government cronies have piled up seven trillion dollars in crazy new spending that even our grandchildren will have little hope of ever paying off.

And oh how quickly Obama has forgotten his own words:

[...] Seven years ago, when President Obama objected to raising the debt ceiling, he said that merely bumping up against the debt ceiling was "a sign of leadership failure."

"It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance out Government's reckless fiscal policies," he intoned.

"Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally," Obama warned. "Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. America deserves better."

All that insane Tea Party talk was from Obama back in his pre-hope tween years, when he was just old enough to want world peace but was too young to be corrupted by the ravages of bureaucracy and not yet drunk on the power of spending taxpayer money to tell everybody what to do.
