Sombody Up There Likes MeTopics:
As a friend noted in a post he wrote in my behalf on February 12, I've been on a 'temporary' medical break. Since that time I've been in the cardiac care unit at a VA hospital with a problem that, for a while, appeared to be unlikely to be remedied. It even reaching the point of receiving a certain rite from a priest that, although desired by Catholics at a certain critical point in their lives, was not exactly what I had in mind happening when I was taken to the ER on the night of February 6.
Nonetheless, I somehow managed to make it through, with the help of several teams of very good doctors, an excellent hospital staff, and a VA system that Barack Obama's administration hasn't managed to 'totally' screw up ... yet (although it was clear that there are changes going on that make it very difficult for the staff to do their job without a lot of unnecessary extra sweat, stress and strain on their part - none of which prevented them from performing their duties like champs ... so far).
From this point forward, given the extent of the problem that put me in there in the first place, and complications that can make things make an unwanted (by me, at least, albeit certainly not the case for lefty Dems and sharia-adoring Islamists) turn at anytime (as could anyone, right!), I feel the need to get right back to reporting and editorializing on the truth, and conducting as much ruckus as possible - focused, of course, against the evil that resides in the White House and what his administration is doing to destroy our country. Yet, along with such ruckus, I intend to continue trying my best to find and support an optimistic view of the future for the good ole U.S.A.
In the meantime, I feel like, as Paul Newman said back in 1956 when he played the role of middleweight boxing legend Rocky Graziano, "Somebody up there likes me."
