Krauthammer on Obama's Inauguration Speech: It's Obama Unbound, An 'Ode to Big Government' That Declared the 'End of Reaganism' (Video)

Topics:

Charles Krauthammer says Obama's inaugural address was nothing more than an ode to big government, a declaration of the end of Reaganism. He said Obama declared that the main entitlements weren't going anywhere, that he would implement climate change and green energy and that immigrant rights, gay rights, and gun control needed to be expanded. Yet there was no mention of overcoming our actual problems regarding deficits and debts. Nothing (h/t - The Right Scoop).

Via Fox News:

Following President Obama's inauguration speech, Charles Krauthammer provided reaction to the address, which he believes will be considered historically important because it revealed "Obama unbound."

He argued that in the address, the president declared "the end of Reaganism."

In Reagan's 1981 inaugural address, he changed the ideology of the country by declaring that "government is not the solution, government is the problem."

Krauthammer said, "Today's inaugural address was a rebuke to that entire idea. This speech today was an ode to big government, it was a hymn to big government."

He cited the president's focus on climate change and civil rights.

"This speech was a declaration the era of big government is back," Krauthammer said.

Clearly, big government and classic liberal-progressivism marches on ... neither of which can our country afford - either economically or freedom wise. Although Obamanots are cheering and surely disagree, I predict that Americans will soon look back on this as a sad day for America - the day that began the second stage of our nation's march toward fiscal insolvency, loss of individual freedoms, loss of religious liberty, and general demise.
