Piers Morgan: "It's time for an 'Amendment to the Bible'

CNN;s Piers Morgan, already under fire for his outspoken support of gun control and his strident opposition to gun enthusiasts, one of whom he denounced on his show as an "unbelievably stupid man," has once again stuck his foot in his loony mouth.

In an interview with Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren on Monday, Morgan asserted that the Bible, like the Constitution, is "basically inherently flawed" and that, with regard to gay rights in particular, "it's time for an amendment to the Bible." Warren responded, "I do not believe the Bible is flawed ... "What I believe is flawed is human opinion, because it constantly changes."

Little wonder that Piers Morgan's popularity continues to plummet - not only is the petition calling for him to be deported now on more than 82,000 signatures, but English broadcaster, journalist and writer Jeremy Clarkson has weighed into the fray, issuing a public plea that the chat show host is NOT returned to Britain.
