Americans Wising Up To The Fact That ObamaCare Will Cost More Than They Were Told

Topics: Political News and commentaries

While Americans are already seeing their healthcare premiums skyrocket, despite President Obama's phony claim that his healthcare legislation would make them go down, a new Rasmussen Report shows the vast majority of Americans are wising up to the fact that ObamaCare will cost much more than promised:

Voters are narrowly divided in their views of President Obama's national health care law, but a sizable majority thinks the law is likely to cost taxpayers more than has been officially estimated.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters have a favorable impression of the health care law, while 49% view it unfavorably. This includes 16% with a Very Favorable opinion and 35% with a Very Unfavorable one.

As Katie Pavlich reminds us, $268 billion in new ObamaCare taxes hit on January 1 no matter what happens with the fiscal cliff.

And remember all during the 2008 campaign when Barack Obama promised, "We're going to work with your employer to lower the cost of your premiums by up to $2,500 a year"? Well, it turns out that family premiums have increased by more than $3,000 since Obama's vow, according to the latest annual Kaiser Family Foundation employee health benefits survey.
