Video: 'Walker' pursued by deer

Topics: International News

A 'walker' in Bushy Park, west London finds out why he was warned about walking in the park during rutting season (and you're right ... you can't just make this stuff up):

Herds of Red and Fallow Deer roam freely in Bushy Park, which lies to the north of Hampton Court Palace, and walkers are warned to stay away from them during the rutting season in October and November.

Via ITN:

The walker was heard yelling "I need some help here!" as he attempted to out-manouevre the animal.

At one point he was running around a tree trying to avoid the stag, and later resorted to climbing the tree.

A witness said the man appeared to have got in the middle of a potential fight between two stags.

She called the police once the stranded man was safely up the tree.
