What's Obama's 2nd Term Agenda?
Topics: Political News and commentariesThe New Yorker recently published an article entitled, "The Second Term".in which the author attempts to answer the question, "What will be Obama's agenda if reelected"? One would rationally assume that Obama would really be concerned with jobs, the economy, and the mounting national debt ... but that's what's rational and important to the American people ... and if the author's opinions are right, Obama obviously isn't in to thinking and acting rational and couldn't care less what the American people want. For him, it's all about his far-left, liberal-progressive ideology:
[...] Obama has an ambitious second-term agenda, which, at least in broad ways, his campaign is beginning to highlight. The President has said that the most important policy he could address in his second term is climate change, one of the few issues that he thinks could fundamentally improve the world decades from now. He also is concerned with containing nuclear proliferation.... Obama's advisers say it is more likely that the President would champion an issue with greater bipartisan support, such as immigration reform. Obama has also said that he hopes to have the time and the attention to address a more robust aid agenda for developing countries than he was able to muster in his first term.
In other words, a second term for Barack Hussein Obama means America takes a giant step towards becoming another Greece, while dancing to the tune of Obama's eco-leftist base, disarming America while ignoring the nuclear threats of the numerous countries that are not our friends and wish harm to us, and giving away much needed-at-home American taxpayer dollars to third-world countries.
Hat tip - Mark Lowe: "Jobs and Economy are the top issues expressed by the voters in poll after poll. Yet these guys are more worried about the possibility that the sea levels may or may not rise an inch or two than our financial well-being as a nation."
