Disgusting Report: Obama Playing Politics With U.S., Israel, Security - Bribed Israel To Delay Iran Attack Until After November ElectionsTopics: Iran, Political News and commentaries
The New York Post reports:
The US offered to give Israel advanced weaponry -- including bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes -- in exchange for Israel's agreement not to attack Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported Thursday. What makes Obama's willingness to play politics with U.S. and Israeli national security all the more disgusting, and downright scary, is this story from the AP yesterday (hat tip - Drew):
President Obama reportedly made the offer during Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington this week.
Under the proposed deal, Israel would not attack Iran until 2013, after US elections in November this year. The newspaper cited unnamed Western diplomatic and intelligence sources.
Netanyahu said Monday that sanctions against Iran had not worked, adding that "none of us can afford to wait much longer" in taking action against Iran's controversial nuclear program.
Satellite images of an Iranian military facility appear to show trucks and earth-moving vehicles at the site, indicating an attempted cleanup of radioactive traces possibly left by tests of a nuclear-weapon trigger, diplomats told The Associated Press on Wednesday.Does anyone really think that Netanyahu will play games and politics with his country's national security and survival as Barack Obama is clearly willing to do? Is there any level Barack Obama isn't willing to stoop to in order to get reelected? Doesn't this report further emphasize one of the reasons why this man must not be reelected in November? Delaying Keystone XL until after the election is one thing, but purposefully bribing Israel to give Iran more time to put nuclear bombs in the field is quite another. Bottom line, the only back Barack Obama ever cares about is his own, and to hell with what happens with the U.S. and Israel.
The assertions from the diplomats, all nuclear experts accredited to the International Atomic Energy Agency, could add to the growing international pressure on Iran over its nuclear program, which Tehran insists is for peaceful purposes.
... Two of the diplomats said the crews at the Parchin military site may be trying to erase evidence of tests of a small experimental neutron device used to set off a nuclear explosion. A third diplomat could not confirm that but said any attempt to trigger a so-called neutron initiator could only be in the context of trying to develop nuclear arms.
The diplomats said they suspect attempts at sanitization because some of the vehicles at the scene appeared to be haulage trucks and other equipment suited to carting off potentially contaminated soil from the site.

The Emergency Committee for Israel blasts President Obama for flip-flopping on Israel in a new web ad released today. "First in 2008, and again this week, he has appeared before crowds of pro-Israel Americans to make promises about his commitment to Israel's security. Each time, he has voided those promises at the first opportunity," the press release notes. After going through those flip flops, the ad ends by stating: "Barack Obama: When the chips are down, the only back he's got is his own."
