Calvin, Predestination, And Mitt Romney

You asked for an answer, Chris. This is your answer:

The great theological argument amongst Protestants during the Reformation, was whether there is such a thing as "predestination". In other words, as John Calvin put it, that all events have been willed by God, and therefore God has willed eternal damnation for some people and salvation for others - forget about the "paradox of free will"!

Well, the "Fates" have spoken (or at least the Washington insider pundits have), and it is pseudo-official! God has willed that Mitt Romney will be the Republican presidential candidate, and damnation to all of us "Borgs": "...all resistance is futile"!

If that is indeed the case, why then, for the sake of that selfsame God, have we wasted untold millions of dollars in twenty-plus Republican presidential debates debacles, involving so much divisiveness, internecine savagery, circular shooting squad tom-foolery, and outright buffoonery (as with Ron Paul), if in the end Mitt Romney is still "inevitable"...to lose to Obama? We could have saved ourselves much wasted campaign contributions, much chagrin, and much frustration, if we just accepted the seemingly inevitable, and just handed Romney the crown! It is "predetermined"!

Has any true-blooded American conservative asked his or herself: "Are Romney's Massachusetts liberal values, my own?"

Romney was ok with "Gay Marriage"; with a "Woman's Right to Choose" - abortion; with "Affirmative Action" - denying people who are white, through no fault of their own or of their mothers (unlike Obama's), "Equal Opportunity"; "No place for God in the Public Square" - alleged separation of church and state; and government mandated "Health Care" - Romneycare! Are those your conservative views, America? Oh, I apologize. I forgot Romney has changed his views about those issues...it's just that I can't remember how many times. Darn my senility!

In a world of "nano technology"; of micro computers held in your cell phone; of computer-analyzed polls and daily Rasmussen oracles; of tracking "Adware", and of "social media"; the greatest tool the Romney campaign has is an old fashioned weathervane! It determines what Mitt Romney's position on an issue will be on any given day - according to which way the political winds are blowing!

Ask yourself : Who represents me better - me, my beliefs, and my values? Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, or even Newt Gingrich - for all his baggage?

It would seem to me, that even though considered by many a "lightweight unable to win", Rick Santorum better represents my values, and the integrity of my morals and religious beliefs, than RINO Romney has ever had, or ever will!

Epiphanies are great - ask the zealot Jew Saul, now known as St. Paul! But, has "Pretty Boy" (his hair looks so nice to those of us who have no longer any left ) Mitt has indeed had an "Epiphany"...or is the "weathervane" at the Romney campaign, the one determining his everyday positions?

Just because you are a successful businessman, and a privileged "Pretty Boy" with more hair than most of us old farts, does not make you "presidential material" - just as much as Obama's "mulato" swarthy skin, and "Magische Neger" charm, should not have ever been reason enough to make him president of these United States, to our consequent collective detriment!

It seems that in defiance of "free will" and Catholic Dogma - which of late has been so much assailed - it is inescapable by Calvin's "predestination" that Mitt Romney will represent the Republicans, the concerned conservatives, and the "Tea Party" people, only to lose to Obama? Egocentric McCain, who thought himself worthy of being president did, as Romney in turn now does, and look where that got us! They both could have done an enormous favor to America, acknowledge their limitations, curb their hubris, gracefully bowed out, and perhaps Obama (this son of a "victimized" anti-colonialist, communist, American-hating, black, Kenyan drunkard, who as an exchange student mated with a commie-radical, white trailer trash whore - I shudder at what we got in the exchange) would not be president today!

But what do I know! Apparently John Calvin was right, and it has been predetermined that we "Borgs" must all submit - "all resistance is futile"! We must all accept this political weathervane RINO with no real substance, who in his vanity and egocentrism thinks himself worthy of the presidency... on account of his hair; even as Santorum, conservatives, and the nation, once again not only lose to Obama, but even if Romney is elected, lose to the secularist progressivist forces indelibly morphing our country, and driving to its decline this once great nation...even as Rome once was...
