The Democratic Party's War On Workers
Topics: Political News and commentariesAs unemployment numbers continue to be awful (despite the administration's corrupt tweaking to count differently), it is clear that joblessness will play a major role in the 2012 elections, particularly in the presidential.
Even in 1980, very few people could honestly say "I was fired by Jimmy Carter."
Today, many can. There will be huge numbers of people who walk into the voting booth next November able to say "I'm not just unemployed because Obama's done a lousy job; I'm unemployed because Obama fired me."
That HAS to make one huge difference on election day.

Every election, the Republicans must try, somehow, to counter this meme. The fact is that the Democratic Party is the enemy of the American worker ... but explaining this to the voting public can be a difficult battle, as the economic causes of factory migration, wide ranges of wage scales, inflation, business cycles, and the crippling burdens of governmental regulations don't fit neatly into a thirty-second spot on television or radio.
In 2012, however, it might be different...
