Quinnipiac Poll Shows Bad News For Democrats In Key Battleground States

Topics: Political News and commentaries

In what amounts to some bad news for the Democrats in key battleground states, a Quinnipiac poll released this morning finds that Barack Obama's approval rating is upside down in the key battleground states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. This amounts to what should be troubling news for liberal Democrat lawmakers Bill Nelson, Sherrod Brown, and Bob Casey:

Florida
Disapproves of the job Obama is doing: 54 - 41 percent, 51 - 44 percent say he does not deserve reelection.

Ohio
Disapproves of the job Obama is doing: 55 - 41 percent, 53 - 42 percent say he does not deserve reelection.

Pennsylvania
Disapproves of the job Obama is doing: 52 - 43 percent, 47 - 49 percent say he does not deserve reelection.

On the other hand, given Charlie Cook's most recent Senate predictions for 2012, the GOP still has a lot of work to do if it is to have any hope of taking control of the Senate come election day.
