Opinion: "Virtuoso" Obama's Playing Of The Republicans ... Like A Violin
Topics: Political News and commentariesOne thing about a group of zealots who blindly will follow a position and or ideology, is that their reactions become excessively predictable in certain circumstances or when facing certain choices, and this leaves them vulnerable to be manipulated by someone keen enough to foresee how they will most likely react if provoked in a certain manner, in fact playing them by their own reactions to "paint themselves into a corner" as the saying goes.
I believe that this is precisely what Obama and the Democrats are now trying to surreptitiously accomplish with the Republicans, using the Republican's across the board unwillingness to budge from their "fiscal conservativism" and general opposition to increasing the deficit with more spending, to paint themselves as the heroes who wanted to help the people but were unable to do so in the face of "the intransigence and the obstructionism of those uncaring Republican bastards that don't give a damn about the American people and are only maniacally obsessed with avoiding the most minimal tax increase upon the filthy rich and the wealthy", while millions of unemployed Americans lose their unemployment benefits and are left out in the cold, the payroll tax is hiked back up again, and the Bush tax cuts expire - all of it come January - the unemployed wind up "shit creek without a paddle", and all Americans will be burdened by more onerous taxes, right when it will most impact our lives, the sagging economy, and the 2012 elections!
I mean, why would Obama cramp the unemployment benefits extension legislation amidst his voluminous "Jobs Bill - Porkstimulus II" package, if not for it to be purposely overlooked, go unnoticed, and be predictably rejected by the Republicans as part of the package, who he will then blame and excoriate, come January, for all those millions of unemployed Americans affected - left out in the streets, which "villainy by the Republicans" he will then keep pounding as campaign fodder all the way to the elections?
If Obama really gave a damn about the unemployed, he would not have "delayed" his decision about the Keystone XL oil pipeline until after the 2012 elections - in order not to alienate his "Green commies - environmentalist loonys" base, stopping the project dead on its track along with countless thousands of truly "shovel ready" jobs in these tough times for a multitude of Americans; he would not be burdening our disastrous economy with all of his newly "Executively Ordered" EPA regulations stifling industry and commerce; and he would have pressed Democrats in Congress and in the Senate to legislate the extension of the unemployment benefits, upon which ultimately six million Americans would have relied and be affected in 2012, months ago, separately, and not bundle it within his encyclopedia-sized "Stimulus II" Jobs Bill which he well knew had a "snowball in hell's" chance of passing, only weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas, knowing all too well Congress' inaction, and that there wasn't enough time to get anything passed before January, with all of Congress' jolly "Holiday Making" and recesses! I believe he did so purposely, again, knowing full well the "Jobs Bill" would be defeated, in order to paint those "obstructionist Republicans who only care about avoiding taxes for the filthy rich" into a corner!
If Obama had truly wanted to get the unemployment benefits extension passed, and not simply use it as political fodder against the Republicans for his re-election campaign, he would have pressed Democrats in Congress and the Senate to have done so months ago, as a separate piece of legislation...but then, what can we expect of Obama's aloof "vote present" leadership when he even failed to push a good deal of his "Manchurian Candidate" socialist Marxist agenda that got him into power thanks to the Soros of this world, back when he had both Houses of Congress, and he could have well passed most any legislation that he wanted with impunity? Imagine now with a "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary" Republican Congress all locked up in their "cockle shells"! Ha!
In like manner, it is my belief that in spite of all his upcoming lofty speeches off a teleprompter on the payroll tax cut extension, and for all of his protestations on the matter, it is Obama's intent - again, knowing full well what reaction to expect from these stupid Republicans in Congress that can't seem to see beyond their noses, that he is manipulating on account of how predictable they are because of their zealotry - to use the Republican's "obstructionism" as an excuse to once again raise the payroll tax, and let the Bush tax cuts expire - something that he's been salivating about ever since he got into Office - let the country go to hell in a handbasket, and then blame the good ole' "Big Bad Republican Wolves" for it all throughout his re-election campaign!
And to think the blind Republican suckers are falling for it, and painting themselves into a corner prompted by Obama, instead of helping hurting Americans out until we could get this Marxist Kenyan scion out of Office come November!
