The Herman Cain Conundrum
Topics: Political News and commentariesThe Herman Cain scandal concerning allegations of sexual harassment by so far four women (and counting), back in the late 90's when he was president of the National Restaurant Association, seems to have become the servile Obama-lapping media's sickly obsession of late - much like a rabid dog refusing to let go of its prey!
This notwithstanding that in today's world of "Feminism Gone Wild" and "Political Correctness Run Amok", even a look - perceived by a woman to be lascivious even without any physical proximity and or the exchanging of a single word - could be deemed "sexual harassment" in many affectated politically correct circles.
However, as we are unfortunately witnessing , the facts, and or lack of evidence to substantiate these charges, have not deterred the Obama-serving Mainstream Media leftist propaganda machine in the least, from launching into a vicious character assassination campaign against Herman Cain, exploiting any and all unsupported allegations, anonymous confidential sources, and unsubstantiated third-party hearsay, with total disregard for the facts and or any journalistic integrity - no doubt intent on discrediting Cain as a possible contender to Obama's monopoly on the "Democrat's 21st Century Plantation" black vote, as well as using it as a convenient distraction away from Obama and the disastrous results of his policies on our economy, job growth, and even our national security and foreign relations, three years into his ill-presaging presidency.
As an added bonus to the media's pro-Obama partisan agenda, these unsubstantiated anonymous allegations against Cain, upon which the media seized to spur-on the scandal, also served to turn the Republican presidential camp into an undignified "chicken coop" of contentious, acrimonious accusations, and bickering, for a while, about who leaked what to the press; even as a sordid comedic routine of "who's on first, what's on second, I don't know is on third" of finger-pointing flew between the Herman Cain, Perry "Abbott", and Romney "Costello" camps; all trying to place blame on an opposing candidate for who was ignominiously responsible for leaking the unsubstantiated allegations story to Politico; while a bemused Obama amusingly watched from the sidelines!
In fact those accusing Herman Cain of sexual harassment have done so hiding behind their insidious anonymity! This, of course, with the notable exception of that latest "blonde bombshell", Sharon Bialek, who now came forward to accuse Cain of also "hitting on her" back when he was at the National Restaurant Association (sounds more like a sexual buffet to me), who is being legally represented (surprise, surprise!) by non other than that despicable well known dirt-digger and "Democratic Operative" garbage collector, Gloria Allred!
Oddly enough, Miss Allred seems to be always "conveniently" available to predatorily represent teary, love-stricken, porn stars (wishing to cash-in on the feeding frenzy), who claim "emotional distress" because they feel betrayed by "fallen from grace" millionaire golfers, that they claim to have "fallen madly in love with", whom had made their calloused clitorises "feel like a virgin for the very first time" - even as they kept plying their X-rated trade through the sordid "Idyllic Affair"! Or "victimized" Mexican illegal alien Housekeepers, who all of a sudden pop out of the blue in the middle of heated political elections, to malign and besmirch the Republican candidate!
Yes, this is that Gloria Allred, who obligingly will shamelessly snatch at anything, in order to discredit and impugn the moral character of any Republican candidate but with "much-a-do-about-nothing", and good ole' scandalmongering, on behalf of her Democratic pals! And who, undobtedly, would gladly even rush to represent Satan himself, and portray him as a "teary victim" of a "prejudiced and abusive, male chauvanist, homophobic, xenophobic (you know, as in His tribal favoritism for Israel)" God, if there's enough money in it for her, and or it gets her another "Fifteen Minutes of Fame"!
In the case of Gloria Allred - who is so avidly representing this "white bimbo" Bialek, who now, all of a sudden, disingenuously remembers the alleged incident (no doubt her memory juggled by Miss Allred), and decides now, of all times, to come forth to corroborate she was also "sexually harassed" and "touched inappropriately" by Mr. Cain back in the day, though all this time, for fourteen years, she chose to do nothing about it - it's often difficult to tell who's the public defender and who the prostitute! But then, that's just me.
To add insult to injury, the obliging media has been prompt to rub-in the "interracial" component of Cain allegedly hitting on this "white woman", even though those same networks and "multiculturalist" liberals up-in-arms and pounding Cain about it, otherwise actively promote interracial relationships to the point that when you watch television programs and commercials, nowadays, in most of them, irrespective of the roles or the dynamics of the situations, males are invariably always "black" while women are invariably always "white", to the point where an impartial observer who didn't know any better would presume there was in fact such a sexual dimorphism in our species! Talk about liberal, leftist, hypocrisy!
But then, none of this should come as a surprise to anyone. At this juncture, the "Mainstream Media" and the "Alphabet" networks have gotten to the point where they don't even try to hide their leftist bias and or try to appear to be impartial any more in their reporting or programming, but outright press on their leftist Marxist propaganda and open support of Obama blatantly, in the face of the American public, with an attitude of: "Hey, this is our agenda, and if you don't like it... Tough!"
Ironically, the amoral (or rather immoral) liberals, for whom all depravities and moral equivocating are licit, await in ambush like ravenous harpies for any conservative who happens to stray from those selfsame ethics and or moral values they so abhor, to jump upon them and tear them to pieces, impugn their character, discredit them as "hypocrites," and disqualify them from the public arena! So, that whereas Bill Clinton gets a wink and a nod for "...not having sexual relations with that woman" - perjuring himself on television before the whole world, and spewing semen all over a certain "Blue Dress" and the Oval Office; Herman Cain is vilified with feigned over-exaggerated "outrage" on account of totally unsubstantiated charges of sexual misconduct! But then, what else is new?
Fortunately for Mr. Cain, the polls seem to indicate that his esteem amongst conservative voters - all but too familiar by now with the wiles of the "Wile E. 'Commie' Coyote" Mainstream Media-Obama-lapping, "ACME Leftist Propaganda Machine" - seems not to have been affected adversely much, but that on the contrary, his poll numbers have remained stalwart.
However, this does not detract from the valid concern on the part of many conservatives, that at this most crucial crossroads in our nation's history, when not only the direction of America, but the fate of our Republic may actually hang in the balance dependent upon the results of this most pivotal of presidential elections, of questioning whether Cain is indeed the Republican candidate best suited to defeat Obama, and the formidable Marxist "Fifth Column" leftist-Democratic machine that has infiltrated and permeates all the stratum of our society, in 2012!
The predictable attacks on Cain, and or any Republican candidate for that matter, and the continuing "Media Circus" concerning the alleged sexual harassment charges against him, kept alive by the MSM, are not the crux of the problem for concerned conservatives.
The real challenge is determining whether Herman Cain (or "foot-in-the-mouth" Perry, for that matter), can realistically be considered to be the best qualified Republican candidate to decisively beat Obama in 2012!
For one thing, and not to take away from Cain's popularity, personally, I suspect that this current American infatuation about electing "black" presidents, irrespective of their experience and or competency, of where they stand on the issues or how knowlegeable they are about them, their moral character (in Cain's case), or (as in the case of Obama) of where their patriotic loyalties lie, seems to be more the result of the "white guilt" that has been ingrained in our national psyche, after decades of leftist progressivist indoctrination, rather than said undue enthusiasm being based on their personal integrity, qualifications, merits, and or achievements; irrespective of the color of their skins!
In Herman Cain's case - and setting aside for the sake of argument the very consequential negative impact the question of his innocence or guilt regarding his alleged sexual misconduct may prove to have on the general campaign, when facing Obama - for all of his meteoric rise in the polls, his several wins in straw polls throughout the nation, and his popularity, Cain, unfortunately, seems to be lacking in some critical, crucial, aspects of his candidacy.
Now, don't get me wrong. Herman Cain is a charming, articulate, intelligent man, and a true conservative. A capable man with an impressive resume of accomplishments in the private sector, who is charismatic and outspoken, and whose personal narrative is quite compelling!
Born in poverty in the Democrat's "Jim Crow" days of racial inequality and bigotry in the South, Cain's father worked two jobs - as a chauffer and as a janitor, and his mother worked as a maid. They were proud, dignified, hard working Americans, who relied on themselves, and in spite of the daunting social hurdles they faced in those times, refused to fall back on the stigma of past slavery, the prevalent racism of their times, and or the sense of "Eternal Black Victimization" so prevalent to this day within the black community, as an excuse for personal failure. But rather lifted themselves up from poverty by their own bootstraps and provided their son not only with an education, but an ethos of self-reliance by which to live by!
Herman Cain's life should serve as an inspiration to every American, especially in the Afro-American community. Breaking away from the "Great Society" and the Democrats's "Welfare 20th Century Plantation" of his day, and in spite of all the obstacles and inequalities he faced, he not only made something of himself, but succeeded personally beyond anyone's wildest expectations, to become one of America's most successful businessmen, who has risen by his own efforts and merit to aspire to become the leader of this great nation!
Having said that, and as inspiring and impressive as Mr. Cain's myriad achievements and accomplishments are, or how popular he may be amongst conservatives and the Tea Party, yet his candidacy is flawed and plagued by certain particular challenges and negatives - not the least of which are these hounding sexual harassment charges impinging on his moral character, which in the end may prove to be detrimental enough to give Obama the victory if Cain becomes his Republican challenger in 2012. Something America cannot afford!
To begin with, for all his appeal as a successful businessman "outsider" not tied to the Washington Political Establishment, and perhaps because as a result he thus lacks in fact the political organization and savvy associated with it, Herman Cain's campaign has been at best chaotic so far, and he often seems to be winging it!
Given how formidable and ruthless the Daley Chicago Democratic political machine backing Obama is, how with the help of such as George Soros and MoveOn.org Obama is expected to raise upwards of one billion dollars towards his re-election efforts, and that Obama has the Mainstream Media firmly on his side covering his back, one has to wonder if Cain's campaign will be able to muster the political savvy, organizational clout, and fundraising ability, to be able to overcome Obama's and the left's political Juggernaut!
Secondly, Cain seems to be woefully inadequate in some crucial areas of expertise behooving an American president and Leader of the Free World, such as in geo-politics and international affairs, as proven when on the O'Reilly Factor he did not seem to know, when discussing peace in the Middle East, what the controversial "Palestinian Right of Return" was, or what would be its impact and dire consequences if implemented, which is so critical an issue in any peace negotiations Israel makes, to its very survival as a nation! Or when he nonchalantly admitted he did not know the name of the president of, quote: "Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan" (probably not knowing where Uzbekistan is either), shrugging it off by remarking that if elected he would hire people to know and take care of such matters. Perhaps Cain figures it's all good if just he sends other world leaders he's unfamiliar with, or doesn't know about, a few free Godfather pizzas!
Then there's Cain's asinine "9,9,9," economic recovery plan...Wait, he now calls it "9,0,9,"...Hold it, it's back to "9,9,9," again...which aside from being in many respects impracticable and a financial burden to the poorest members of our society during these tough times - which would make it highly unpopular in the general election and a gratuitous target to be blasted and exploited unceasingly by the Obama political machine as a result - that would institute a burdensome national sales tax which would further stifle consumer spending, even as it opens up a new venue through which the government can tax us; which then - when inevitably at some time in the future the "Big Government, Big Spending" Democrats regain power - could very well prove to be quite onerous upon us all!
Cain is an affable fellow. He's done well in the debates and the polls, because voters like his self-confidence and the brash way he often speaks his mind; unlike an equivocating Mitt Romney "flip-flopping" along the way trying to be all things to all people. I remember years ago the 7-Up commercial that promoted that carbonated lemon-lime drink as the "Uncola". In a similar way Herman Cain for a while there became the "Un-Romney" for conservative voters. But of late, it seems that every time Cain is asked a question, about his policies, and or how he would react as president to certain situations, all his responses are "9, 9, 9." (of course, this is a spoof):
"Mr. Cain, what about the Palestinian's 'Right of Return'"? Cain's answer: "That is something the Israelis and Palestinians must work out for themselves using '9, 9, 9.'..."
Mr. Cain, how would you deal as president with the Iranian nuclear threat: Cain's answer: "Well, if we implement '9, 9, 9.' we would not depend on Iranian oil (?) and then..."
Cain in a TV interview: "I am ready for the 'gotcha' questions and when they ask me 'Who is the president of Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan is', I will simply say '9, 9, 9.' (priceless! For all other Cain answers, there is Godfather's Mastercard, with free 'Pizza Points'!)"
I know I am mocking Herman Cain and being critical of the man and his knowledge of world affairs, and, honestly, I do like the guy and would like to cut him some slack. But, c'mon! Give me a break! Not every difficult situation in the world can be fixed with "Free Pizza" and winging it! I mean, what? Does Cain in his simplistic solution to our Obama convoluted economic woes, and the world threats that besiege us, thinks our economy and world order can simply be fixed and achieved with "$9.99 Godfather's Pizza Specials"???
I would rather say "Nein, nein, nein" (No, no, no) to this ill-thought economic proposal by Cain, and choose something more realistic, practical, and less of a "pizza pie in the sky" to fix our economy! No pun intended.
Then, whether we like to take it into consideration or not, or how offensive it may seem to some, there is the racial component to be considered when it comes to the general election.
Mind you, not because Cain being black is a hindrance to his becoming the Republican presidential nominee. On the contrary! Seems Cain's totally unexpected meteoric rise through the ranks of Republican presidential contenders, and his enduring popularity in the polls, in spite of his many goof-ups and missteps and of the sexual harassment scandal presently haunting him, can only be attributed, as happened inexplicably in the past elections with a totally unqualified and inexperienced Obama, to the apparent mental aberration in the mind of many Americans nowadays, that being "black" seems to be a necessary prerequisite in order to be "electable" as president!
But realistically, after such a divisive Administration as that of Obama, there are white folk Obama has so alienated with all his socialist policies, his race-baiting, his shameless "Class Warfare" politics, and all his ill-concealed anti-Americanism, that they will not vote for another black man in the near future, no matter how conservative, competent, and or "Tea Partying" he may be. Those could very well be decisive votes that would be lost on Cain, but would be won by a Romney, or a Gingrich, in the general election.
Conversely, blacks disillusioned with Obama and his disastrous policies, who possibly may vote for a more moderate Romney, will never vote for a more right of center and conservative Cain, who to boot is stigmatized by many in the Afro-American community as a "sellout", an "Oreo", and an "Uncle Tom" puppet of the "racist Republicans"! Those are also votes Cain would lose, or at least never really expect to win over, which, again, a Romney may possibly win.
All in all, I see the Cain candidacy as inept and inadequate, and most likely doomed to failure - in spite of all the fanfare about him - on account of Cain's own personal shortcomings, lack of knowledge, shallowness about the issues, and farcical campaigning!
The crucial challenge of winning the White House back from Obama is not just a marketing "promotional campaign", or a "pizza commercial"!
