Obama administration likely to delay decision on Keystone pipeline

In a previous post we pointed out Rich Lowry's suggestion that if Obama and his party really cared about jobs and American energy ... the Keystone XL pipeline would already be underway. Now it appears that there's little doubt that our president cares much more about pleasing his left-wing voter base than he cares about American jobs, our energy independence, and our economy. For him, it's 24/7/365 politics ... and that's all that matters.

Andrew Restuccia writes at The Hill:

The Obama administration will announce Thursday that it is reevaluating the route of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, a move that will likely delay a final decision on the project, sources briefed by the administration said.

TransCanada Corp.'s Keystone XL pipeline would carry oil sands crude from Alberta to refineries in Texas. The pipeline has set off a firestorm in Washington, with critics raising environmental concerns and proponents arguing the project will boost the economy.

Reuters reported on the decision to reevaluate the pipeline route earlier Thursday.
