NYC sanitation workers shocked by disgusting Zuccotti refuse

The NYC Sanitation Department's Manhattan District Building overflowed yesterday with mountains of debris left behind by the Occupy Wall Street protesters in Zuccotti Park after Mayor Blooberg ordered police to evict the protesters.

The New York Post reports:

City sanitation workers yesterday were forced to pick through a filthy pile of property seized from Zuccotti Park including dirty hypodermic needles, moldy food and glass-littered, broken gadgets.

"I pick up garbage [for a living], and these were some of the worst smells I've ever experienced," one worker grumbled to The Post.

About 150 trashmen stuffed the massive pile of soiled tents, old bikes and spoiling food into dump trucks -- 26 loads in all -- and hauled it to a West 57th Street Sanitation facility so that workers could begin sorting the personal goods from garbage.

Occupy Wall Street protesters with proper ID can go to the facility this morning to get back their property.

As 10 unlucky Sanitation workers sorted the trash from reclaimable goods, they steered clear of a sealed pickle bucket which they suspected was filled with human waste.

The 'Post' report doesn't address the cost of the cleanup, paid for by NYC taxpayers, nor the cost to the city's taxpayers for the massive number of police required to evict the disgusting filthy, anti-capitalist, socialist mob from the park ... and then continue to guard it (lots of images at link).

Meanwhile, Judi McLeod makes an excellent point at CFP: NYC can't clean up OWS (Occupy Without Sanitation). They stink from their inner souls to their outer skin:

The only cleanliness associated with OWS is the purity of their Marxist strategy at play. They deflect and distract from the Fundamental Transformation of America ongoing at the White House.

With each and every passing day it becomes more obvious that the OWS movement is Barack Obama's deluded answer to the Tea Party.

Indeed the only reason OWS exists is for the Obama regime to have something with which to compare the dreaded-by-government Tea Party.

In almost every other nation except the United States of America, protests are toppling elected governments. Protesters are replacing governments in Europe with One World Order elitists; protesters are handing over Middle Eastern countries to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In patriot-proud America, Obama knows he cannot possibly win re-election by ordinary, non-cheating means. Obama and his dirty Democrats were shellacked by the hated Tea Party in midterm elections. The arrogant, high-handed Marxist Messiah will not let it happen again even it it means suspending elections.

At no matter what park, in no matter what weather, OWS activists, who work in shifts with Starbucks coffee breaks part of their pay grade, will be on the streets fomenting for Revolution right up until polls close on Nov. 6, 2012.

That's their job. That's what they're paid for. Deflect, distract, displace, destroy are their marching orders from on high.

Obama hates the Tea Party because it is impossible to wipe out. For every Tea Party person out waving Old Glory in a lawn chair, millions are at work or home cheering them on. We the People are not going into serfdom without a fight.

Impossible to wipe out sincere patriotism from the millions who earnestly want rid of Obama.

Obama's Stage Four "Demoralization of the Masses" is failing. Average people of the masses merely notice in passing that the Marxist in the White House watches basketball from the deck of aircraft carriers on Veterans Day; they care not that this Marxist malcontent has already bragged he is about to take yet another unearned holiday; they care not about the absurd get-ups of his overbearing, self-proclaimed nutritionist wife. They care about finding a job, hanging tough through the recession and feeding hungry families.

Jammie Wearing Fool sees this as 'game over' for the OWS "movement"::

This entire "movement" has largely been misrepresented by the media as "sweeping the nation" and a "worldwide movement" when it's nothing but a clumsy leftwing movement aided and abetted by the Democrats and unions. Now that many of these Obamavilles have been swept up by Democrat mayors, only scattered remnants remain.

For the good of the nation, let's hope Jammie's right. But, as Ed Morrissey notes, don't expect the media and their 60s-nostalgic editors to report the fizzle.
