It does nothing to address the underlying drivers of our debt problem, provides a basis for the federal government to go on spending more and more, and always leads to more debt. The data clearly show that real economic growth is the only viable answer.
However, Barack Obama, who has now raised the debt ceiling more in less than 3 years than George W. Bush did in 8, is sending his spendibus' plan to Congress tonight despite the fact that the AP's 'fact check' shows it to NOT be "paid for" and that economists say it won't work, anyway.
Meanwhile, according to Roll Call, our wannabe-king, the man who accused George Bush of being a unilateralist has decided that he'll use executive orders and his power with regulatory agencies to pursue his agenda … without approval of Congress.
