Obama in 2009: 'It's My Economy? Fine. Give It To Me'
Topics: Political News and commentariesOn July 14, 2009, in a speech at Macomb Community College in Warren, Mich., Barack Obama veered off his prepared remarks to take a shot at some of the "it's Obama's economy" critics to arrogantly say:
I love those folks who helped get us in this mess, and suddenly they say, "This is Obama's economy." That's fine. Give it to me. My job is to solve problems, not stand on the sidelines and carp and gripe.Well, Obama got the economy back in November 2008 when America made the awful mistake of electing him to office after he promised "hope and change". Now, almost three years later we see the results of the what that "hope and change" has brought (e.g. pushing America ever-closer to a welfare state and national insolvency) and even some Democrats realize it's all the wrong kind and more likely than not to get much worse.
What's all the more galling, Obama wants four more years so he can continue his agenda that will, undoubtedly, take America to insolvency.
