Just To Be Clear, The Budget Deal Doesn't Cut Spending A Single Cent

Topics: Political News and commentaries

We've already pointed out this morning that the budget "deal" is a sham, and doesn't actually reduce the deficit.

However, over at Cato, Chris Edwards goes a step further ... putting into an easy to understand graph ...

... the net effect of the "deal", and notes that even though Republicans and Democrats have come together on a supposed "historic" budget deal that the president and the leadership in Congress claims to cut federal spending by more than $2 trillion over 10 years ... the real truth is that the budget deal doesn't cut federal spending at all.

And not only is the deficit not really reduced, future federal spending isn't either. Americans are being bamboozled by political leaders of both parties, and especially by an incompetent, big-spending, narcissistic, liberal-progressive president who couldn't care less how deeply in debt he puts our nation in because, after all, seeing the fruits of following the Cloward-Piven strategy is indeed his objective.
