About Obama's next chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers
Topics: Political News and commentariesFor readers who are interested in such things, over at the WaPo - Brad Plummer provides a look at Alan Krueger's academic work and background. Krueger has been nominated to replace Austan Goolsbee as the Chairman of the WH Council of Economic Advisers.
And yes, as you've likely already guessed, he is indeed another damned liberal-progressive elitist Ivy League Keynesian with no real business experience, has never had to make a payroll, never had to wrestle with government bureaucracy to operate his business, and knows diddly-squat about the real world of the private sector where most jobs are created ... and about what is needed there to create jobs.
He's also told Congress that "the proposed cap-and-trade program holds the promise of creating new industries and jobs; decreasing our dependence on oil; and limiting the release of pollutants that threaten the health of families and communities and the planet itself."
Yeah, right. That'll work ... about as well it's worked out in Britain and they're now warning us about.
