Yes, there are indeed people that need them, but there are far too many that don't ... so many, in fact, that the number of cases of fraud and abuse has reached crime wave proportions.
If you truly believe this is sustainable, then you probably also believe the fantasy that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are sustainable without significant reforms.
In which case you might think about where the money is coming from!
