'Gun Walker' Bombshell: White House Knew About ATF Gunrunning Scandal

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Over at TWS, Mark Hemingway notes 'concrete proof' that ATF's "Fast and Furious" or "Gunwalker" scandal reaches not only to the highest levels of the Justice Department, but all the way to the White House.

If it does turn out that the 'concrete proof' holds up and

an ATF manager of the Phoenix office did in fact notify a White House official of Operation Fast and Furious as an update on the overall Project Gunrunner effort, connecting the controversial operation directly to the White House for the first time, this is indeed a very, very serious charge and, as Hemingway notes in his piece, again points to another issue ... did the White House knowingly let guns fall into the hands of criminals to make the case for more liberal gun laws?

Clearly, it's time for Rep. Darrell Issa’s committee to get a certain WH official into the hearing room and on the record, and to subpoena some White House records!
