Thaddeus McCotter For Prez?
Topics: Political News and commentariesDeb mentions Michigan Republican, Thaddeus McCotter, as a possible dark horse candidate for 2012 (she's mentioned this previously) and notes that The Washington Times' Kerry Picket, now says sources around DC are chatting up the idea.
Deb has a video up of McCotter displaying his foreign policy skills in a Fox News appearance, in which he discusses aid to Pakistan, but since I've never heard of the guy I did a quick check on YouTube and came up with a video of McCotter socking it to the Democrats, which he'd have to be able to do if he actually entered the race for 2012 ...
I certainly like the guy's sense of humor, and he seems well-qualified, but to go from being a Rep. with little national name recognition to presidential candidate seems to me to be a pretty big step.
As for his Dem-speak translations - he's spot-on!
