Shocking Poll Results

On Friday, May 6, Judge Andrew Napolitano described the rather shocking results of the inaugural Reason-Rupe public opinion survey:

This may be the single most important poll that will determine who wins the White House in 2012 and there isn't a single candidate mentioned in it.
He then had Reason Editor in Chief Matt Welch on to explain the significance of American attitudes about reducing the deficit (hat tip - Reason.com):


Although this points to a platform that the GOP is more likely to embrace than the Democrats, given the stable of lame horses in the 2012 GOP field ... and an equally lame Speaker of the House, even these poll results offer little hope for a GOP to win in 2012 or that the GOP will stand firm on reigning in Federal spending and debt between now and then.
