Re: Obama's big energy lie

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Over at Redstate, Steve Maley gets to the truth of all that 'The U.S. has only 2% of the world's oil reserves' malarkey, and points out that our relatively low reserve number is not an indication that "we're running out of oil!", it's merely a wake-up call that we need to get busy and shore up our domestic supplies. The only thing we are running low on is the political will to do it.

There's another thing we are running low on though - a public that's willing to exercise the will to call Obama out on his lies. After all, it's our future that Obama's toying with.

As Alan Caruba notes in his "Obama's Endless Energy Lies":

[...] Obama's lies are so easily refuted one might think he would hesitate to tell them, but he is undeterred by the truth.

[...] This President, blathering about "energy efficiency", electric cars, high speed trains, thousands of acres covered by wind turbines and solar farms, and all the other pipedreams that represent a Green agenda, is deliberately misleading Americans while his administration, instead of "winning the future", is killing the future for America...

Meanwhile, Fuel Fix reports today that reality could intrude on hopes for lower pump prices:
A rebound in oil prices and flooding concerns at Mississippi River refineries may foil hopes that gasoline prices were headed for significant declines this week.
