A Response To A Race Card "Kool-Aid" Drinker - Insight Into The Twisted Liberal Mindset

Topics: Political News and commentaries

On May 2nd of 2011 a thread under the title: "Giving Credit Where Credit's Due: Recognizing George Bush's Role In The Killing Of Osama Bin Laden" was posted on Hyscience.

The article simply stressed the undeniable role former President Bush, and his policies, have had in the ultimate capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden.

There was no mention in the article of anything remotely relating to "race", though a very Apropos critique of Obama's policies was made.

Enter the "race card" at anyone having the audacity to criticize Obama, and thus some loony liberal, that posted as Brande (email withheld to protect the commenters' privacy), and who was obviously under the influence of liberal "Kool-Aid", wrote the following:

"You all are retarded and racist. If Obama was president before Bush and handed him a layout on how to attack bin laden you all still wouldn't give him any credit. When will we give the new president any credit. Only a black president could have his administration get away with yelling at him, calling him an alien, terrorist, etc.. Do you all give Dr. Martin Luther King any credit for what he did or are will still mad because everyone gets to use the same bathroom. Bush has dome nothing but put the country in the toilet and we are still thanking him! Really?!"
This senseless tirade was kindly responded to by Hyscience's, who wrote in response:

"Put the race card back in your deck, Brande. It doesn't play among adults. And your MLK/bathroom card is equally offensive."

"Try hard to look at well-deserved criticism of Barack Obama through a lens other than a Black racist prism. Most Hyscience readers would jump at the chance of voting for and supporting an Alan West ... a true Black patriot who respects the Constitution and supports the free market ... but find it difficult to support a wealth-redistribution socialist that's done so much harm to our country in only 2 and half years."

"It's not about Obama's race ... it's about who Obama is and his dangerous agenda."

"One more race card play and you're banned from commenting here. We don't tolerate racist comments ... and playing the race card is being racist."

To which Brande responded:
"Ban me I don't care. I take you think I'm black since you say I'm playing the card but I'm not. There is no race card being played. I'm trying to figure out what is Obamas dangerous agenda you are talking about?! What the hell did Bush do for us, all races,? Don't get mad. If you are going to be a blogger be able to take offense when you re offending. Now ban me if you'd like!"
From Brande's comments, I surmise he or she must either be one of those "eternally aggrieved" Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan styled "African-Americans", who if not for their forbears having been brought to America as slaves would be starving in Africa today - literally, who've not yet gotten over "slavery" and always carry a "chip" on their shoulder - conveniently blaming all their failures and shortcomings on the darker color of their skin instead of themselves; or Brande must be a far-left, "Kool-Aid" drinking, liberal-progressive that just can't stand having Barack Obama's narcissism and his far-left, freedom-robbing, big-spending, ultra-pro-union (at the expense of the free market), nanny state-expanding, policies criticized.

Brande is bringing up the "race card" in a discussion that had no place for "race" to begin with, where we were assessing and giving credit where credit is due, to Bush's policies and leadership contributions - in the face of the Islamoterrorist threat we all face - vs. those of Obama, who is now taking all the credit for killing Osama Bin Laden at the "stroke of a pen", though he ideologically opposes those very same Bush policies that he has been forced to tow by the "reality" on the ground, that had nothing to do with the color of Bush's or Obama's skins but rather with their competency and the decisiveness of their characters - to take the actions necessary though unpopular and politically damaging - to protect America and Americans, and which ultimately are responsible for our having taken Osama down....which Obama up to the bin Laden mission has clearly demonstrated a lack of.

As Richard so appropriately pointed out: "It's not about Obama's race ... it's about who Obama is, and his dangerous agenda."

But, Brande's "race card" complex, and his asinine logic is so indicative of the "Kool-Aid " drinking mindset of many Obama-supporting blacks, and of so many far-left liberals, that I thought it better that I should write a post addressing this mindset, as exemplified in Branden's comments. So here goes my rant:

What the h.... Brande?

What has "rendering unto Caesar, that which is Caesar's..." metaphorically speaking, and giving due credit , where credit is due - when it comes to recognizing the role George W. played in enacting all the anti-terrorist policies and Homeland Security measures that not only have ultimately led to the capture of Osama Bin Laden, but have kept us safe from another horrific Islamic 9/11 attack on our soil since that dreadful day almost ten years ago - have to do with race and or skin color?

What is racist about acknowledging the fact that in spite of all his lofty left wing campaign promises of closing Gitmo, of repealing the Patriot Act and rendition, of pulling immediately out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and or of trying murderous Islamic enemy combatants in American courts and granting them the Due Process and rights of American citizens, Obama has been forced, in the face of the stark REALITY OUT THERE, to adopt and continue most, if not all, of Bush's policies concerning our fight against Islamofacist terrorism?

Or what is retarded about giving due credit, where credit is due, and acknowledging that it was Bush's leadership and lack of hesitancy (unlike Obama's undue indecisiveness and vacillation when it comes to dealing with foreign policy issues such as the surge in Afghanistan and or our involvement in Libya), and unwavering determination - even when his policies where unpopular, in implementing whatever measures where necessary to keep America safe - regardless of whatever else you may think of him, and those policies that Obama has had no other choice but to tow, whether he likes them or not , and or are politically hurtful to him with his radical base or not, that in fact have kept us from another Islamoterrorist attack?

Or for that matter, what bearing does the color of Obama's and or Bush's skin have when it comes to contrasting their positions, leadership abilities, and the way they have handled the Jihadist threat that looms over our collective heads like a "Damocles Sword", when it comes to discussing this thread and or the comment I posted earlier?

What seems "retarded", in fact, is having dragged "race" into this discussion at all, and I would strongly suggest to you, Brande, that you follow Richard's sage advise and "put the race card back in your deck..." But you would not listen...

Since Brande brought "race" and "Martin Luther King" into the mix, I may as well point a few things out about both.

"You asked for it? You got it"....and no, it's not Toyota I am going to be talking about!

Let me begin by outright disclosing that indeed I am a "racist" when it comes to Obama.

But, what offends me the most about him, in my prejudice, is not the "brown" of his skin color - two of the men I consider to be my role models, and whom I admire the most, are Colonel Allen Bernard West, and that economist genius and philosopher Dr. Thomas Sowell, whom with his writings and insights has shed so much enlightenment upon my brutish mind - but the "red" of Obama's "Che Guevara" Marxist soul! As I child I suffered through it in Castro's Cuba, so I recognize it when I see it....

To begin with let us take a dispassionate, impartial, look at MLK, instead of looking at him through the "Rose-colored" prism of all the "Lionizing" and the "aggrandizement" that have made of him a "Larger Than Life American Icon" thanks to the liberal secular progressive propaganda to which we have been subjected for the last forty years.

Reverend King, for all his laudable accomplishments, was a human being, full of faults and virtues, like any of us.

Heroically, he did lead the battle that finally brought about, that all Americans, regardless of their race or color, be "Equal Under the Law" - not only in lofty idealism, but in practice; that we all "Should be judged by the content of our character, and not the color of our skin"; and being able to finally dismantle the racist "Jim Crow" laws so prevalent in the South (which, ironically enough, were for the most part enacted, and kept in place, by Southern "Democrats") with the help of the Civil Rights Movement he helped create! Quite a daunting accomplishment by any measure, and a task worthy of a torchbearer of Liberty, which Dr. King was!

Having said that, we must not be blind to the reality that - for instance - contrary to Reverend King's own lofty principle that we should all be judged by the content of our character, he, himself, because he was after all human, had many character flaws himself, such as his "womanizing" - even though in Loretta he had an admirable, and physically beautiful, wife, and should not have felt the need for any other; specially given his position as a role model, not only to his Congregation, but to all the people that placed their hopes on him and his message of equality and a better world!

Then we also seem to forget that though MLK wrapped himself in the lofty rhetoric of non-violence and civil disobedience, back in the day MLK and the Civil Rights movement were involved with the communists and other hate-America (Bill Ayers and the Weathermen certainly supported him - Ayer's wife actually worked with King) radicals, and that his "non-violence" actually fueled much rioting and violence across the United States - like the 1967 riots in Newark New Jersey, where, as a child, and recently arrived Cuban Refugee, my family and I where bewildered when a mob of violent MLK-inspired blacks assaulted our apartment building on the corner of Irving Ave., which they tried to set on fire, they threw stones that broke our windows, injured my two-year-old brother with splinters of glass, and we had to flee under the protection of the National Guard because our lives were in danger...simply because our skin color was white, even though we did not know at the time what the hell was going on! Quite a welcome, if you ask me! Thank you, MLK!

Not to mention that on the day of his assassination, MLK was on his way to speak in support of one of those Marxist 'thuggish Unions that have destroyed American car manufacturing; driven jobs overseas; are the focus of corrupt "special favors" by the Obama Administration and the Democrats; have only brought us riots, violence, and grief in Wisconsin and elsewhere; and are bankrupting our states and our nation with impunity!

"I have a dream...." Dr. King said. But, what was MLK's dream? Justice? Equality? Or was MLK's "dream" that in the absurdity of our politically correct extremism, history itself has been twisted to accommodate in our movies and entertainment "black Vikings", "black (literally) Knights" in Medieval England, and or "black Guineveres" in King Arthur's Camelot, against all historical probability and REALITY?

Or was MLK's dream that in the liberal bias gone wild of our "politically correct" gay media, TV commercials, of late, seem to portray - irrespective of the roles - males as always "black" and females as always "white", to the point that if there was an alien intelligence out there monitoring our radio waves, they would come to the conclusion that there is a "sexual dimorphism" in our species where the males are "black" and the females "white"? Oh, wait except for those effeminate androgynous things in our TV shows that pass for "white males" and that any alien observing us would assume are but a variation of the "white females"!

I suppose that good worthy accomplished beautiful black women must feel really great about that!

Was that MLK's dream?

But what is really food for thought is the fact, and I know because I lived through it, that by 1968, after having brought about Civil Rights and the "Affirmative Action" that has denied countless white students equal access to education, and white workers equal access to jobs and promotions; and having helped forge the LBJ's "Great Society" welfare programs fiasco that has created a whole new class of welfare-dependent, drug-addled, takers, steeped in crime, in the "Hood", in our society, and that is bankrupting our nation; MLK's star was already waning when he was shot, and then all of a sudden he became a martyr, and was "Lionized" by the secularist progressive propaganda "ad nauseam", and now we celebrate a day in his honor - one more excuse for banks to be closed and for Federal Employees staying at home with pay, while our checks are delayed and in the mail - which postmen also take the day off while we wait - while the rest of us have butkus!

if MLK had lived to a ripe old age, would he, at this point, have become one more irrelevant "Welfare Pimp" like his fellow "Civil Rights" comrades, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson, living off the "laurels" of his Civil Rights achievements and playing the "race card" at every turn while silently slipping into obscurity? Somehow I don't believe that's what he would want to be or support.

That is why I fervently pray every night for Obama's health and that the Secret Service will keep him safe and protected until his term at destroying our country is up, so that, like his predecessor Jimmy Carter, he lives long enough to see his legacy as that of one of the worst presidents the United States has ever had, and he slowly slips into irrelevancy and oblivion like Sharpton and Jackson, instead of dying a martyr, like MLK, being "Lionized", and having to see Obama's hateful countenance on the one dollar bill for the rest of my life!

As Richard pointed out, we have the likes of Colonel West, an "American" without a hyphen - not an "Afro-American" like the MLK- styled black race-baiters call themselves, to delineate the difference upon which they predicate their "race card" of "eternal grievance" upon us; or "made in Kenya" and born in Hawaii with a childhood "Indonesian citizenship" - like Obama, but a TRUE AMERICAN , and a HERO, regardless of the hue of his skin, whom I would follow into battle with total confidence....whom I would also follow presiding this great nation! But then, you know me, I am such a "racist"....
