Indiana Supreme Court: No Right to Resist Unlawful Police Entry
Topics: Political News and commentariesAs James Joyner point out, for as long as the notion of individual rights has existed, one of them has been the notion that one's home is sacrosanct. But as of Thursday, that's no longer true in Indiana ... and the ruling could ultimately spread to the rest of us as well.
Say goodbye to the 4th Amendment. The government is now not only to be our keeper and our ruler, it is also our protector and knows what's good for us whether we like it or not.
This clearly speeds us further down the slipper slope or eroding our individual freedom, liberty, and especially ... our right to resist unlawful police entry. Soon, the only rights we have will be those that the government gives us ... the Constitution be damned.
