Awesome Video From LSU Flag Burning Protest

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Aaron Worthington provides the background on the story ... it began the night when all of us were celebrating the death of bin Laden ... during which 23 year-old Isaac Eslava, who has dual U.S. and Colombian citizenship, went to LSU's war memorial, removed the American flag that flew there, and burned it. He was subsequently arrested, but Benjamin Haas, a communications studies graduate student, announced that he was burning the flag in support of Isaac Eslava. Although the school gave him permission to do so, he was unable to get a burn permit, so he came out to make a statement instead.

In this second video, Cody Wells, LSU's student body president, makes a point of saying that he regrets that things were thrown at the protester.

To his credit, Wells gets it exactly right.
