Today's Must Read: Agenda 21 In One Easy Lesson

Topics: Political News and commentaries

As Scott Strzelczyk and Richard Rothschild noted back in October 2009, most Americans are unaware that one of the greatest threats to their freedom may be a United Nations program known as Agenda 21. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Division for Sustainable Development created Agenda 21 as a sustainability agenda which is arguably an amalgamation of socialism and extreme environmentalism brushed with anti-American, anti-capitalist overtones. Residents of any town, county, or city in the United States that treasure their freedom, liberty, and property rights, need to learn everything they can about Agenda 21 and how to stop it.

Fortunately awareness of Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development is racing across the nation as citizens in community after community are learning what their city planners are actually up to. As awareness grows, Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center and one of the nation's leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, property rights and back-to-basics education, is receiving more and more calls for tools to help activists fight back. He says that many complain that elected officials just won't read detailed reports or watch long videos. So he's provided a one page, quick description of Agenda 21. He's also included a list of quotes for the perpetrators of Agenda 21 that should back up his brief descriptions.

Every American should take the time to learn about the details of Agenda 21, it's dire threat to their freedom, liberty, and property rights, and how they're being deceived by city and county planners and some community leaders. As Strzelczyk and Rothschild point out in their piece, regardless of political orientation, two indisputable facts remain. Agenda 21 is a direct assault on private property rights and American sovereignty, and it is coming to a neighborhood near you.
