PPP Poll: Trump Opens Up Lead Over Crowded Field of Eight GOP Contenders
Topics: Political News and commentariesDespite his 'birtherisms' (or perhaps because of them?) ... PPP has Donald Trump leading a crowded field of eight GOP contenders ... a whopping 9 points over second-place finisher Mike Huckabee. This is by far the largest lead in any national poll.
Interestingly, Gallop's daily three-day tracking poll has Barack Obama's job approval having dropped to a 5 month low of 41%.
Hmmm...; Obama going down, Trump going up? What madness is this? Is Donald Trump becoming an antidote for Obama in the eyes of conservative voters at the same time Obama's base is souring on him?
It's hard to take this guy as a serious challenge to Mr. Hope and Change/Winning the Future/etc...etc...etc, and if he won the primary he could end up being a disaster with independents. But at this point, given the current political climate, our disastrous debt situation, our ever-growing big government and its increasing threat to our freedoms ... and an absolutely lousy GOP field ... any crazy thing can happen; even Trump taking the primary, and even a President Trump in a general (as far-fetched as that sounds at this point).
And who could deny that almost anyone but a Huckabee, or a Romney, or a Paul, or a Gingrich, or a Palin, or a Bachmann, or a Pawlenty would be an improvement!
