More Americans now depend on federal aid than ever before
Topics: Political News and commentariesSimply put, wages now count for a lower share of income even including the Great Depression, when a quarter of the US workforce was 'on relief.' So, unless people have given up eating, more Americans must be 'on the dole' in one form or another than ever before.
Somehow, I don't think this is the "change" Americans had "hoped" for!
