As The Country Goes To Hell In A Handbasket, Our Candidate-in-Chief is ...

While our economy heads toward a double-dip recession, the war in Libya spirals out of control, gas prices soar (not to worry - Obama has a fraud commission on it), our unemployment stands at 8.8% but according to fresh research from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago the recent decline is being driven by a labor market where fewer people are losing jobs, as opposed to those finding new work, what is our Candidate-in-Chief (a man who clearly loves to campaign for public office, but who abhors the actual work of governing) doing?
He's doing what non-stop Campaigner/Candidate-in-Chiefs do best ... campaigning and raising money for campaigning:
President Barack Obama heads to New York City today for two high-priced fundraisers and one low-dollar event aimed at young people, the third week in a row that he's headlined multiple events in an effort to begin building his reelection bank account. Together, the trio of fundraisers will raise millions of dollars.More ...[...] Mr. Obama's day will begin with another modern campaign ritual: a visit to daytime talk show queen Oprah Winfrey, a longtime friend and supporter. He and First Lady Michelle Obama will tape an episode of her show, and while reporters will tag along, they won't be allowed to report much, if anything, that the Obamas say until the show airs. (Those are Oprah's rules.)
