Obama's approval retreats

Gallop reports that President Barack Obama averaged 46% job approval the week of Feb. 28-March 6, which is his lowest weekly average since mid-December. From mid-December to late January, Obama's weekly approval rating had steadily improved, peaking at 50% during the final two weeks in January, before dropping below that mark in February.

Rasmussen's daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president, with thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapproving, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15. Rasmussen has Obama's overall approval at 47%
