Tech Humor: What's faster ... Old guys using Morse code or kids using text messaging?

Topics: Humor

I'd never seen this before my friend Douglas emailed it to me today; it's been around for awhile so a lot of readers will have already seen either this video or when this was on the Jay Leno show. To many though, this will be not only humorously interesting but also a reminder that "new tech" is not in all ways a leap forward from really really old tech (Morse code has been around 174 years):

Old guys use Morse code vs. kids with text messaging from MPG on Vimeo.

Of interest to no one other than myself is that I was taught Morse code in the Marines __ years ago (i.e. longer than I care to admit) ... and still remember it today. It stays with you.

But for what it's worth ... I use text messaging.
