Rand Paul defends conservative, free market principles to a David Letterman who doesn't want to hear it

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Promoting his new book "The Tea Party Goes to Washington," Senator Rand Paul appeared on The Late Show and casually explained limited government, the free market, and the efficiency of the private sector versus the public sector to the very liberal David Letterman who seemed to not want to hear how throwing more money at education is not the answer to the problem. Letterman continued to maintain that throwing money at the problem will fix it, while Paul explained that competition from the private sector, such as charter schools, will improve the situation (hat tip - Jennifer Caballero).

As for as Letterman's responses, as the ole saying goes - none so blind as those who will not see.
