Now I can quit worrying, Jimmy Carter vouches for the Muslim Brotherhood

Topics: Political News and commentaries

I can now stop worrying about the Muslim Brotherhood's influence in Egypt and it being wholly committed to the restoration of the caliphate and the strict application of Sharia, because Jimmy Carter says there's nothing to worry about. Sure, they have ties to terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, but heck, nothing to worry about in Egypt. There's no chance of them establishing sharia law there:

Hmmm.., I guess then we can just forget about the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood's announcement that it seeking a state based on "Islamic values" andthe Daily Telegraph report that "a leading Islamist Jurist and stealth Muslim Brotherhood ally" is going to head Egypt's new constitution committee ... because the man who lost Iran to the Islamists and who has become a consistent apologist for Muslim terrorists says so.

I guess I should feel better now. But like a commenter at The Blaze aptly notes, Jimmy "Hamas" Carter's views on Islamists, especially on the Muslim Brotherhood, are about as relevent as Scott Peterson's views on marriage.
