Mubarak's Speech

Topics: Egypt

Just listened to Mubarak's speech on Fox ... it seems very clear that this man is most definitely NOT stepping down from the presidency of Egypt.

As John Podhoretz points out at Commentary, that four-hour mania about Mubarak's resignation is a sobering example of what can happen when credulous Western news organizations attempt to report in the rumor-driven culture of the Middle East.

What happens now is anybody's guess. One thing for certain, though. The protestors in
Tahir Square are not happy campers (literally).

Surely, much more to come.
