A bad sign in Egypt (Updated)
Topics: Political News and commentariesThe magnitude of the protests in Egypt is bad enough, but surely it's a very bad sign that the Muslim Brotherhood is taking advantage, if not being behind it, when we learn that
the anti-government demonstrations are centering on mosques, with the demonstrators chanting "Allahu akbar" ... an indication of the Islamic, pro-Sharia, pro-Brotherhood sentiments of the demonstrators.
Meanwhile, the Muslim Brotherhood supports Mohamed ElBaradei, who is now under house arrest. This, as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gives us a perfect example of exactly what not to say about Egypt.
We could indeed be looking at a new Iran, and possibly be seeing the beginnings of an Islamic Middle East!
