Rasmussen: Support For Repeal of Obamacare Reaches Highest Point Since September
Topics: Political News and commentariesThe Dems passed the new healthcare law so we could find out what's in it, and in time we were suppose to grow to like it.
Well, Obamacare passed, we found out what's in it, time has passed, and as Rasmussen reports - Americans still don't like it:
Time doesn't seem to be winning the new national health care law any more friends. Most voters have favored repeal of the law every week since it was passed and support for repeal has now inched up to its highest level since mid-September. Many Americans remain concerned that the law will force them to change their health insurance coverage.Read more ...The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 60% of Likely U.S. Voters at least somewhat favor repeal of the health care law while 34% are opposed. As has been the case since the law was first passed, those who favor repeal feel more passionately than those who want to keep the law---46% Strongly Favor repeal while just 23% who are Strongly Opposed.
[...] Complicating things for supporters of the health care law is the finding that 75% of voters with insurance rate their current health insurance coverage as good or excellent, while only six percent (6%) regard it as poor. Scott Rasmussen noted this comfort with existing coverage in an August 2009 Wall Street Journal column and observed that "the fundamentals are really what make health-care reform a hard sell to American voters."
Fifty-four percent (54%) of voters now say the health care plan will be bad for the country. Thirty-two percent (32%) think the plan will be good for the country, while three percent (3%) say it will have no impact. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided.
These findings, too, have changed little in months.
