Video: Woman harassed by TSA for 1hr. 15mins ... for carrying breastmilk
Topics: Political News and commentariesIn this video, a new mother is harassed and threatened by the TSA because she requests alternate screening for her breast milk. As a repeat traveler, the TSA singled her out to make an example out of her. She spends over an hour in the "Special Inspection" area and is forced to miss her flight. Take the time to watch the entire video (it's 11:46 long). it's clearly unnecessary harassment and personal power run amuck.
The mother was apparently singled out by the TSA for revenge because she filed a complaint the week before because they didn't know their own rules. She states that she did in fact have her breast milk in proper sized containers. Unlike normal liquids, breast milk and medical liquids are not held to the 3.4 oz rule. Despite that rule, my milk was in 3 oz containers. I was told to leave and make them "half full" containers (1.5oz) by the manager ... this was his own made-up rule and not at all what the TSA guidelines state.
