Pelosi running for Dem leader

Nancy Pelosi just tweeted -- and her press office confirms -- that she will run in the new Congress to be the House Democratic leader.Like Obama, this lady just doesn't get it. One would think that the big question now is just how many Dems are stupid enough to vote for her,"Driven by the urgency of creating jobs & protecting #hcr, #wsr, Social Security & Medicare, I am running for Dem Leader," the tweet reads.
On the other hand, as Philip Klein points out, given Pelosi's penchant for vote counting, it's unlikely that Pelosi would seek the post unless she was confident she had enough support to win. If this is the case, it says a lot about what the Dems learned from November 2nd - which would be absolutely nothing.
Meanwhile, the NRCC is ecstatic over Pelosi's decision:
Spokesman Ken Spain, in an email release: "We welcome her decision to run for House Minority Leader based on her proven ability to create jobs for Republican lawmakers."
