Obama's Green jobs boondoogle a bust

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Michelle Malkin aptly labels this the non-shocker of the day:

Back in April 2009, we took note of how the green jobs boondoggle turned out in Spain. In two words: Epic fail.

No matter. The Obama White House shoveled more and more enviro-slush fund money into the green jobs/union jobs black hole.

Now, the Washington Post reports that retrained workers who followed the green jobs' Pied Piper can't find work:

As reported at the above "epec fail" link, Spain's experience with the Green Jobs boondoggle resulted in every "green job" created with government money in over a period of eight years coming at the cost of 2.2 regular jobs, and only one in 10 of the newly created green jobs became a permanent job. Nevertheless, in its never-ending quest to funnel American taxpayer's dollars to unions and to push the green agenda, the Obama administration continues to rush headlong toward the same experience - and in fact, Obama, has used Spain's green initiative as a blueprint for how the United States should use federal funds to stimulate the economy.

Make any sense? Only to Obama and fellow liberal-progressives.
