DNC Files FOIA Requests With Pentagon for Info on GOP 2012 Hopefuls
Topics: Political News and commentariesThe DNC has already started its oppositional research on potential Republican challengers to President Obama in 2012, filling out FOIA requests for “any and all records of communication†between the Pentagon and a list of likely Republican presidential contenders, including:
[...] former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga.; Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.; Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind.; Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La.More here...
Perfectly legal, of course. On the other hand, wouldn't it be interesting if the GOP could simply file an FOIA to get access to all the secret back room deals of the WH and the congressional Democrats (i.e. GM, bank bailouts, stimulus funds for unions, Obamacare, etc...).
