Re: Boston public school apologizes for allowing students to pray in mosque

Topics: Political News and commentaries, Understanding Islam

The story begs several questions: why in the hell did this happen in the first place; why isn't anyone calling the Islamic Society of Boston to account for its role in making this happen; and how could the school not have done its homework and known that the organization that runs the controversial mosque, the Muslim American Society, has leaders past and present with ties to Islamic terrorism?

Even the purported goal of the field trip is highly suspect. Why would a public school conduct a field trip to "learn about the architecture of a mosque and give the students 'an authentic experience' inside a mosque' by observing the Islamic religion first hand"? Does anyone want to venture a guess as to how many field trips the school has conducted to a Catholic Church or a synagogue for "authentic" Christian or Jewish experiences?

Robert Spencer has more commentary and the Boston Globe story.
