Politico: Probes of Rangel and Maxine Waters - "Raise Questions" - About Race?

Puhleze, you've got to be kidding.

As Patterico points out, no evidence whatsoever is amassed in Politico's article that black lawmakers are being treated differently. Only Politico's assertion that "The question of whether black lawmakers are now being singled out for scrutiny has been simmering throughout the 111th Congress, with the Office of Congressional Ethics a focal point of the concerns."

And who is the only person quoted that "race questions" have arisen? You guessed it, "one member of the Congressional Black Caucus, speaking on condition of anonymity" who claims "there's a 'dual standard, one for most members and one for African-Americans.'"

Entirely predictable. Whenever liberals are caught with their hands in a cookie jar or that they're loosing an argument (or an election), they always have to drag out the race card. And lacking any evidence, they simply assert it anyway. As good little liberal progressives, they believe the end justifies the means, and their shameless race-baiting is a means conducive to their ends. To their shame, it works, because we let it and because they have complicit liberal progressive folks in media - like Politico, and the mainstream media - all too willing to propagate their race card fraud.

And although they might have had a shred of guilt over their fraud at some time in the past, that's all been overcome by their zeal to win at all costs, and greatly accelerated more recently since Barack Obama has become president. As Jack Kelly points out at the post-gazette.com, while many believed Barack Obama would be America's first "post-racial" president, once in office, he's been more obsessed with race than any president since Woodrow Wilson, who imposed segregation on the federal government.
